The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has successfully concluded its participation at the 31st edition of the Thai International Travel Fair (TITF) 2026, one of Thailand’s leading consumer-focused travel exhibitions. The four-day event was held from 22 to 25 January 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Bangkok, attracting thousands of travel enthusiasts, tour operators, and industry professionals from across the region.
Nepal Tourism Board (NTB)’s presence at the fair aimed to strengthen Nepal’s tourism promotion in Southeast Asia, particularly in Thailand, which remains one of Nepal’s key source markets. The participation aligned with NTB’s broader strategy to enhance destination visibility, promote diverse tourism products, and deepen market engagement through direct consumer and trade interactions.

Nepal Pavilion Showcases Diverse Tourism Offerings
During the fair, Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), in collaboration with Nepal Airlines and 11 leading travel and trekking companies from Nepal, promoted Nepal’s rich and diverse tourism offerings through a dedicated Nepal Pavilion. The pavilion highlighted Nepal as a year-round destination, offering experiences ranging from cultural heritage and spiritual travel to adventure tourism and Himalayan exploration.
The participating companies included Image Travel and Expedition Pvt. Ltd., Nepal Hiking Team Pvt. Ltd., Broad Adventure Pvt. Ltd., Nepal Social Treks and Expedition Pvt. Ltd., Pearl Holidays Pvt. Ltd., Core Trek Pvt. Ltd., Trekking Guide Team Adventure Pvt. Ltd., Nepal Big Mountain Travel Company Pvt. Ltd., Go Nepal Travel, Tours and Trekking Pvt. Ltd., Mountain Great Adventure Pvt. Ltd., and Destinago Tours and Travels Pvt. Ltd. Together, these companies represented a wide spectrum of Nepal’s tourism industry.

Strong Connectivity Strengthens Tourism Exchange
Thailand continues to be a promising tourism source market for Nepal, supported by strong air connectivity between the two countries. Currently, there are daily direct flights and more than 20 flights per week operating between Nepal and Thailand. This accessibility has played a vital role in encouraging travel exchanges, facilitating tourism growth, and enhancing market confidence.
Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) officials emphasized that improved connectivity has made Nepal more accessible to Thai travelers, particularly for short holidays, spiritual journeys, and adventure experiences. The ease of travel has also helped strengthen collaboration between tourism stakeholders in both countries.
High Interest in Nepal’s Unique Attractions
TITF 2026 provided an effective platform for direct engagement with consumers, allowing NTB and participating companies to interact with a wide range of potential travelers. Nepal’s key tourism attractions, including Lumbini, the Himalayan region, heritage cities, adventure tourism, and spiritual travel, drew significant interest from Thai visitors.
Visitors expressed particular enthusiasm for trekking, mountain experiences, pilgrimage tours, and cultural heritage sites. The promotion materials, destination briefings, and one-on-one consultations helped generate strong awareness and interest in Nepal as a safe, diverse, and attractive travel destination.

Platform for Business-to-Business Networking
In addition to consumer outreach, TITF 2026 also served as an important platform for business-to-business (B2B) networking. The participating Nepali companies engaged with travel trade professionals, tour operators, and media representatives from Thailand and other countries.
These interactions facilitated new business connections, strengthened existing partnerships, and opened avenues for future collaboration. Discussions focused on joint tour packages, promotional campaigns, and long-term cooperation to attract more Thai tourists to Nepal.

Enhancing Nepal’s Visibility and Long-Term Growth
NTB’s participation at TITF 2026 significantly contributed to enhancing Nepal’s visibility in the Thai market. The fair reinforced Nepal’s positioning as a multi-dimensional destination offering culture, nature, adventure, and spirituality in a single journey.
By combining consumer engagement with trade networking, Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) aims to support sustainable and long-term tourism growth. The successful participation reflects Nepal’s commitment to expanding its presence in key international markets and strengthening tourism partnerships across Southeast Asia.
