More than 10,000 devotees visited the famous pilgrimage site of Pathibhara Temple in Taplejung during the month of Magh, according to a report released today by the Pathibhara Area Development Committee.

Pilgrim Footfall and Offerings
The committee stated that a total of 10,323 devotees made their pilgrimage to Pathibhara in Magh. The Executive Director of the committee, Prajin Hangbang, reported that offerings collected during the month amounted to Rs. 18,47,500.
By comparison, 5,911 pilgrims had visited the shrine in the previous month of Poush, indicating a significant increase in attendance.

Seasonal Influence on Visits
Officials noted that the rise in pilgrim numbers is partly due to gradually warmer weather, making the trek more accessible for devotees. The committee maintains a practice of publishing monthly reports detailing visitor numbers and offerings collected at the temple.
International Pilgrims
Pathibhara Temple continues to attract visitors not only from Nepal but also from neighboring countries, including India. The site is renowned for its spiritual significance and scenic location, making it a key destination for both domestic and foreign devotees.

Committee Initiatives and Management
The Pathibhara Area Development Committee has been actively managing the site, ensuring facilities for pilgrims are maintained and that donations and offerings are properly accounted for. The committee’s regular reporting helps promote transparency and encourages more visitors to undertake the pilgrimage safely.
