SriLankan Airlines Expands Saudi Network Through Partnerships with Saudia and Flynas

SriLankan Airlines has expanded its presence in the Saudi Arabian market by entering into new strategic partnerships with Saudia and Flynas, a move aimed at strengthening air connectivity and offering passengers more seamless travel options between the Kingdom and Sri Lanka.

The new agreements significantly broaden the airline’s network by allowing travelers to access a wider range of domestic and international destinations through the two Saudi carriers before connecting to SriLankan Airlines’ daily services to Colombo. The partnerships are expected to benefit business travelers, tourists, and those visiting friends and relatives (VFR) by improving connectivity and simplifying onward travel.

Greater Access Across Saudi Arabia

Under the new collaboration, passengers traveling from multiple cities across Saudi Arabia and selected international gateways will be able to connect conveniently to SriLankan Airlines’ daily flights operating from Riyadh and Dammam to Colombo. The expanded network is designed to improve travel flexibility and reduce transit complexities by offering coordinated connections across the participating airlines. The initiative also strengthens SriLankan Airlines’ position in one of its key regional markets while providing greater access to its international route network.

According to SriLankan Airlines, the partnership with Saudia adds connectivity to 13 domestic and seven international destinations, significantly expanding travel options within Saudi Arabia and beyond. Meanwhile, the agreement with Flynas contributes connections to six domestic and eight international destinations, further enhancing network coverage across the Kingdom and neighboring markets. Together, the two partnerships create a broader integrated network, offering passengers increased flexibility and improved connectivity for both regional and long-haul travel.
