The five-star hotel “Hilton Kathmandu” has officially opened its doors in Naxal. This luxurious establishment, backed by the Shanker Group, commenced operations today, marking a significant milestone in Kathmandu’s hospitality sector. The Shanker Group has partnered with Hilton Worldwide Manage Limited to launch the Hilton Kathmandu City Center.
Spread over 10 ropanis of land, the hotel features 17 floors and offers 172 elegantly designed rooms. The Hilton Kathmandu boasts a rooftop bar, banquet hall, spa, all-day dining restaurant, and a swimming pool, providing a comprehensive range of amenities for its guests.
Located just 4 kilometers from Tribhuvan International Airport, Hilton Kathmandu offers convenient access to the tourist hub of Thamel. Alexandra Jaritz, Senior Vice President of Brand Management and Hilton, highlighted the hotel’s strategic location, which also provides easy access to the Narayanhiti Museum and Durbar Marg, thereby connecting guests to Kathmandu’s rich cultural heritage.
In a statement, Hilton India’s Senior Vice President and Country Head, Zubin Saxena, expressed his delight at launching Hilton Kathmandu in a country renowned for its cultural heritage and significant tourism potential. Hilton Kathmandu features five distinctive dining venues, offering a mix of local and international cuisines. The hotel’s infrastructure is equipped with German technology for earthquake resistance, ensuring the safety and comfort of its guests.
The Hilton Kathmandu is now part of the Asia Pacific network of approximately 90 Hilton Hotels and Resorts, including recently opened properties such as Hilton Singapore Orchard and Hilton Sagan. Future openings are planned in cities like Shanghai, Hyderabad, and Kyoto.
