The Manakamana Cable Car, which connects Kurintar in Chitwan with the famous Manakamana Temple in Gorkha, will remain closed for one day on Tuesday for scheduled maintenance. According to Ujjwal Sherchan, Deputy General Manager of Manakamana Darshan Pvt. Ltd., the service is being suspended to carry out regular maintenance and inspection works ahead of the upcoming festive season.

Sherchan said maintenance work will be carried out on the cablecar towers and stations during the closure. “The service is being suspended for one day as maintenance work needs to be carried out on the towers and stations,” Sherchan said.

Towers and Stations to Undergo Inspection in Manakamana Cable Car
During the one-day closure, technicians will conduct maintenance and inspection of the cable car towers. The condition of both the Kurintar and Manakamana stations will also be examined as part of the scheduled maintenance.

Sherchan said the cable car service will resume its regular operation from Wednesday after the maintenance work is completed. The company has also informed passengers and visitors about the temporary suspension through its social media platforms. Manakamana Darshan Pvt. Ltd. has apologized for the inconvenience caused to passengers and devotees due to the one-day closure.
