Nepal Heritage Wellness Cookbook to Feature 108 Dishes

One of the major highlights of Hotel Expo 2027 will be the publication of the Nepal Heritage ‘Wellness Cookbook 2027’, featuring 108 varieties of organic and health-oriented traditional Nepali dishes. According to HAN, the cookbook will seek to connect Nepal’s traditional food heritage with modern hospitality services.

It will document nutritious and wellness-oriented ingredients and dishes traditionally used by Nepali communities and promote them in both domestic and international markets. The initiative aims to position Nepal’s indigenous cuisine as an important component of the country’s tourism and hospitality experience while promoting traditional food practices through contemporary hotel and restaurant services.

Gundruk to Receive National and International Branding Push

HAN will also continue its efforts to promote and brand gundruk, one of Nepal’s distinctive traditional fermented foods, at national and international levels. The initiative will incorporate recommendations, ideas and conclusions generated during a national workshop on gundruk organised by the Hotel Association Nepal.

HAN plans to encourage greater use and promotion of gundruk on hotel and restaurant menus while highlighting its traditional identity, nutritional value and potential health benefits. The association believes that systematic branding and wider use of gundruk in hospitality establishments could help introduce the traditional Nepali food to international visitors and expand its market potential.

Traditional Nepali Cuisine to Welcome Guests

HAN said domestic and international guests attending the expo will be welcomed with traditional Nepali dishes.
