The Shiva Mahimnaha festival, which began on Shrawan 1, concluded with a grand celebration in the touristic and religious village of Bandipur. The festival, which drew more than 6,000 devotees, featured a closing ceremony led by Kirtan Shiromani Shanti Swaroopananda Shree Damodar Baba, the patron of Vyasa Ashram.
During his closing address, Shree Damodar Baba emphasized the spiritual significance of Bandipur, noting that the main ashram site of Banadevi is located here. He highlighted that Lord Shiva considered Vanadevi a source of inspiration, positioning Bandipur as an ideal center for religious tourism.
The event also featured a musical presentation by Shree Deepak Sapkota, who served as a one-day Shiv Purana Pandit, captivating the audience with his performance. The ceremony was presided over by Kiran Pokharel, the coordinator of the Shiva Mahimnaha Utsav original organizing committee. Krishnaraj Adhikari welcomed the devotees, and the program was conducted by Chintamani Sharma.
As the festival concluded, it was announced that the evening aarti would continue until Shrawan 31 at Siddheshwar Mahadev Mandir Cable Car Chowk, extending the spiritual activities for devotees.
The month-long Yatra was made possible through the sponsorship of Bandipur Cable Car and Tourism Limited, with overall event management handled by RKD Holding Limited. The successful completion of the Shiva Mahimnaha festival has further established Bandipur as a prominent destination for religious tourism.
