The Sanfebagar-Martadi road, a key route for travelers and tourists, has been obstructed by a landslide triggered by incessant rainfall. The landslide, which occurred at Budhabagar in Sanfebagar Municipality-13, has severely disrupted vehicular traffic, including passenger buses traveling between Bajura and Dhangadhi.
The continuous landslide has made it difficult to clear the road, causing delays in reopening the route. As a result, tourists and locals are stranded, impacting travel plans and the flow of visitors to the region.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Ishwari Prasad Bhandari, Chief of the Achham District Police, stated that efforts to clear the debris and reopen the road will commence once the landslide subsides. However, until then, the road blockade remains a significant obstacle for those traveling in the area, including tourists exploring the natural beauty and cultural sites in the region.
This road is an essential link for tourism in the area, connecting visitors to various destinations in Bajura and beyond. The obstruction not only hampers local transportation but also poses challenges for the tourism industry, which relies on accessible roads to bring visitors to these remote and scenic locations.
