The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) raided the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) on Wednesday as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged irregularities in the construction of Pokhara International Airport.
The raid took place at CAAN’s office in Sinamangal, with CIAA officials arriving at the corporate headquarters at 10 a.m. The investigation focuses on senior CAAN officials, including Director General Pradeep Adhikari, who are under scrutiny by the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament.
The probe follows concerns over potential misuse of resources and irregularities during the airport’s construction, which has prompted heightened oversight by both the CIAA and the parliamentary committee. Further investigations are expected to continue as authorities gather evidence related to the case.
