Chandra Thapa has been unanimously elected as the president of the Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) Lumbini Province during its 12th annual general meeting and convention held in Butwal. The newly formed executive committee aims to promote tourism and travel initiatives in the Lumbini region.
The election, supervised by advocate and election officer Yubaraj Kandel, also resulted in the selection of Kulchandra Pandey as the Senior Vice President, Govinda Singh as the Second Vice President, and Anjan Kumar Shrestha as the Third Vice President. Other notable appointments include Sita Basnet as General Secretary, Ankit Jaiswal as Secretary, Pradip Kumar Pokhrel as Treasurer, and Virat Shrestha as Joint Treasurer.
The committee members include Jibnath Poudel, Ganesh Bhattarai, Tanka Kafle, Gaurav Pandey, Bhuwan Pandey, Pradip Prasad Uday, and Mitra Sharan Sharma, who are expected to work collectively in fostering regional tourism development.
This leadership team signifies a new chapter for NATTA Lumbini as it focuses on enhancing the travel and tourism industry’s role in bolstering local and national economic growth.
