With the completion of the Maha Shivaratri festival, cleanup efforts have begun in the Pashupati area. The Pashupati Area Development Trust has started removing the waste accumulated due to the large number of devotees gathered for the festival.

According to Dr. Milan Kumar Thapa, Member Secretary of the Trust, the cleanup will be completed within a few days. Even though the festival has ended, a significant number of devotees are still present at Pashupatinath today. Many devotees who could not visit the temple on Maha Shivaratri came today for darshan. Sadhus and saints are still present in the temple premises.

The Pashupati Area Development Trust, Guthi Sansthan, and other organizations have arranged food, accommodation, and firewood for the sadhus until this evening. According to Revati Raman Adhikari, spokesperson of the Trust, sadhus will be given alms and bid farewell on Friday from 11 AM onwards. The amount of alms will be given based on individual capacity, and both the Trust and the institution will provide separate offerings to the sadhus.
