Ekata Hotel and Guest House Entrepreneurs Association Nepal Hosts Landmark 14th AGM

The Ekata Hotel and Guest House Entrepreneurs Association Nepal has successfully concluded its 14th Annual General Assembly and inauguration ceremony, bringing together representatives of the hotel and tourism industry, government officials, business leaders, association representatives, security personnel, and other stakeholders. The event was described as a well-organized gathering that provided an opportunity to recognize contributions to the hospitality sector, congratulate successful students, and strengthen cooperation among hotel and tourism entrepreneurs.

Industry Representatives and Officials Attend

The programme was attended by Dipendra Subedi, Secretary at the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Labour and Transport, Bagmati Province, as the chief guest. Among the special guests were Rishi Kumar Chaulagain, Central Committee Member of the Hotel Association Nepal; Sahadev Dhamala, Member of the Nepal Tourism Board; P.K. Sherpa, an environmentalist associated with the Government of Nepal; and Tek Raj Adhikari, Ward Member of Kathmandu Metropolitan City–9.

Other guests included Sunil Aryal, General Secretary of the Hotel and Tourism Entrepreneurs Association, Bagmati Province; Suresh Baral, President of the District Hotel Business Association Kathmandu (DHBA); and Prakash Shrimal, Deputy Superintendent of Police and Chief of the Gaushala Police Circle. Former association president Mohan Thebe and Rabindra Subedi, Sales Director of Gorkha Brewery Pvt. Ltd., were also among the guests.

Appreciation for Organizers and Association Members

The association expressed appreciation to its office bearers, members and volunteers who worked to make the annual general assembly successful. Senior Vice President Prajwal Shrestha, General Secretary Anish Baniya and Treasurer Sandip Pandey, along with members of the executive committee and audit committee, were acknowledged for their efforts in organizing the event and welcoming the guests. The association also extended its appreciation to its advisers, former office bearers, members of the Ekata Women’s Group, representatives of various organizations and hotel and tourism entrepreneurs from different parts of Kathmandu.

Participation from the Wider Tourism Community

The event brought together representatives from several organizations associated with Kathmandu’s hotel and tourism industry. Presidents of different hotel and tourism associations, representatives of various institutions, advisers of the association, former officials and members, security personnel and members of the media were among those attending the programme. Their participation was recognized as an important contribution to the successful completion of the annual gathering.

Businesses and Individuals Honored

The programme also included a recognition and felicitation segment for individuals and businesses associated with the hospitality sector. Suresh Baral and Sir Man Thalang Limbu were among those honored during the event. The programme also recognized outstanding businesses, including Hotel Natraj and Hotel Readers Inn Pvt. Ltd. The recognition highlighted the contribution of hotel entrepreneurs and businesses to the local hospitality industry.

Students and Parents Also Recognized

The association also congratulated students who successfully participated in the SEE examination held in 2082 B.S. The successful students and their parents were present at the programme to receive congratulations and best wishes. Their recognition added an educational and community-oriented dimension to the annual gathering.

The association emphasized that continued cooperation among hotel and tourism entrepreneurs is essential for strengthening the organization and addressing challenges faced by the hospitality sector.
