Preparations for the Swayambhu Festival, scheduled to take place from Falgun 10 to 17, have reached the final stages, according to Ward No. 15 Chairperson Ishwor Man Dangol. The festival will also celebrate the region’s iconic temples, stupas, and monasteries, alongside its rich social traditions.

In addition to its cultural significance, the festival will host approximately 60 stalls, each offering a unique display of traditional musical instruments, visual art representing cultural rituals throughout life, and images illustrating key moments from Buddha’s life. The exhibition will also include valuable historical artifacts, such as postage stamps, old currencies, and a variety of local indigenous products.

These offerings will not only showcase the rich cultural heritage but also provide an opportunity for visitors to explore and appreciate the region’s history and craftsmanship.
