At Tribhuvan International Airport, flights were affected due to a malfunctioning light on the runway. As a safety precaution, authorities had to halt all air traffic, leading to a brief period of congestion at the airport. Passengers and airlines experienced inconvenience as they awaited further updates from airport officials.

The technical team promptly addressed the malfunction, and the necessary repairs were completed within 45 minutes. Following the successful restoration of the runway light, flight operations gradually resumed, ensuring minimal impact on the overall schedule. Airport authorities have reassured travelers that normal services have been restored and emphasized their commitment to maintaining operational safety and efficiency.

Due to the earlier disruptions, scheduled flights are currently delayed by 45 minutes to 1 hour, as reported by Gyanendra Bhul, an information officer at the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal. “Although flights have resumed, the morning’s issues have caused delays for the aircraft,” he stated.
