The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has announced that flight operations at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) have officially resumed after being suspended since September 9 (Bhadra 24) due to adverse conditions.
According to a public notice issued by the Civil Aviation Office, Gauchar, Kathmandu, the decision to reopen the airport was made during a meeting of the Tribhuvan International Airport Security Committee held today, Bhadra 25.

Passengers Advised to Confirm Flight Schedules
The CAAN has requested passengers traveling through TIA to contact their respective airlines to confirm updated flight schedules before coming to the airport. Travelers have also been advised to carry their official air tickets and valid identification documents when accessing the airport premises.

Closure Due to Adverse Circumstances
Flights had been suspended since Tuesday due to the challenging situation in the Kathmandu Valley, which disrupted both domestic and international air travel. The suspension had left many passengers stranded and caused widespread delays in the aviation sector.
Commitment to Passenger Safety and Orderly Operations
Authorities emphasized that the reopening is being carried out with strict adherence to security protocols and safety measures. They urged passengers to cooperate fully with airport officials and security personnel to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
