Lumbini Province’s Chief Minister, Chet Narayan Acharya, has officially inaugurated the historic Rath Yatra at Gajendra Moksha Dham in Triveni, marking the beginning of a religious journey to Muktinath. The event, which aims to promote the significance of Kali Gandaki’s Shalikram and Muktinath, is expected to attract a significant number of devotees. The Rath Yatra seeks to strengthen the connection between religious faith and tourism while enhancing the promotion of these sacred sites.

The journey, which follows the vision of Muktinath Baba, will pass through Triveni, Devghat, Pokhara, and Baglung before reaching Muktinath. During the inauguration, Chief Minister Acharya emphasized the importance of connecting religious and tourist destinations and shared that a tourism circuit is being developed in Lumbini Province to enhance accessibility to these sacred places.

Acharya further stated that by linking religious sites across neighboring provinces and regions, prosperity through tourism could be achieved. The Rath Yatra is designed to increase awareness and promotion of Muktinath and Shalikram, contributing significantly to the advancement of religious tourism.

The journey, starting from the spiritually significant and beautiful Triveni Dham, holds great importance for pilgrims and will offer them an unforgettable experience. The inauguration event was graced by notable figures including Lumbini Province’s Minister for Forests, Devkaran Kalwar, Provincial Assembly member Nima Giri, former Vice Chairman of the National Planning Commission Dr. Govinda Pokhrel, along with local representatives, entrepreneurs, and business leaders.
