The “Historic Tourism Entrepreneurs’ Meet 2081” began today in Gorkha’s district headquarters, with former Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ inaugurating the two-day event.
Organized by the Hotel Association Gorkha, the meeting aims to develop strategic plans to attract both domestic and international tourists to Gorkha. This is the first event of its kind in the district, designed to promote Gorkha’s historical and tourism potential and advance its tourism industry.
According to Keshav Kunwar, Chairperson of the Hotel Association Gorkha, the meet has brought together tourism entrepreneurs from Gorkha who are active in the tourism sector across the country. The event seeks to highlight the immense tourism potential of Gorkha, which boasts geographical, natural, historical, religious, and environmental diversity, to draw a significant number of tourists to the region.
Over 150 tourism entrepreneurs are participating in the event, shared Association Vice-Chairperson Bishnu Prasad Timilsina. During the two-day program, all 11 local levels of Gorkha will showcase videos highlighting the tourism potential of their respective areas. This initiative is expected to foster collaboration and drive efforts to promote Gorkha as a prime tourist destination.
