Important Guidelines for Tourists Visiting ACAP and NTNC Areas

In a bid to ensure a peaceful and sustainable tourism experience, the Tourism Management Committee has issued a set of important guidelines for all visitors to the Annapurna Conservation Area and surrounding regions managed by the National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC). These guidelines are aimed at preserving the natural beauty and tranquility of the area while ensuring responsible tourism practices.

One of the key directives is a strict restriction on loud music. Visitors are requested to refrain from playing loud music, especially in sensitive and remote areas, to avoid disturbing both the environment and local communities. The serene natural surroundings of the region are an integral part of its appeal, and the committee encourages tourists to respect the peace that attracts many to the area.

Additionally, the Tourism Management Committee emphasizes the importance of responsible waste management. Tourists are urged to return all personal waste with them when leaving the area. This includes packaging, plastic, and other disposable materials that can harm the pristine environment. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to promote eco-friendly tourism and reduce the environmental footprint in the conservation area.

Furthermore, the NTNC has clarified that helicopter flights within the Annapurna Conservation Area (ACA) and other related regions will be allowed only with prior permission from the ACAP authorities. This policy is in place to minimize the impact of air traffic on wildlife and maintain the area’s status as a peaceful, environmentally protected zone.

By adhering to these guidelines, tourists can help protect the natural beauty of the Annapurna region and ensure a positive experience for both themselves and future visitors. The Tourism Management Committee appreciates the cooperation of all tourists in maintaining the integrity and sustainability of this beloved destination.
