The Kathmandu Valley is experiencing a continuous drop in temperature, with meteorologists predicting the trend to persist in the coming days. Despite the chilly weather, the valley remains under fair weather conditions overall.
According to Meteorologist Rogen Lamichhane, the minimum temperature in the valley was recorded at 4 degrees Celsius this morning and has risen slightly to 5 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature is expected to range between 17 and 19 degrees Celsius today.
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s regular weather bulletin reports partly cloudy skies in the hilly areas of Koshi Province, while the rest of the country enjoys fair weather. However, fog has been observed in several parts of the Terai region, the valley, and other areas, impacting visibility.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division forecasts partly cloudy weather for Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces tonight, with the rest of the country expected to remain clear.
The Department has advised people, particularly in the Terai and valley regions, to exercise caution during foggy conditions in the morning hours, as reduced visibility could pose challenges.
