LOD (Lord of the Drinks) Club, located in Thamel, has been ranked 44th in the prestigious DJ Mag Top 100 Clubs list for 2025. This ranking, part of an annual campaign by the UK-based DJ Mag, recognizes the world’s finest clubs, and LOD has secured its position among the global elite.
Each year, DJ Mag selects the top clubs from around the world, and this year, 100 of the best DJ clubs participated in the selection process. LOD’s inclusion in the top 100, specifically at the 44th spot, is a source of immense pride for Nepal, as the club’s success brings international recognition to the country. Bhupen Kunwar, the director of LOD, expressed his pride in the achievement, stating that the club’s ranking is a significant accomplishment for both the venue and Nepal. According to Kunwar, this year’s campaign saw participation from over 500 clubs across the nation, further emphasizing the significance of LOD’s achievement.
Kunwar highlighted that LOD’s placement in the top 100, and specifically within the top 50 at 44th, enhances Nepal’s global standing in the nightlife and entertainment sector. “Being ranked in DJ Mag’s top 100 is a matter of pride for Nepal,” Kunwar remarked. “With LOD’s inclusion in the top 44, Nepal’s name is now associated with some of the best clubs in the world.”
