The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecast Division has predicted moderate to heavy rainfall in various parts of Nepal over the next three days. The ongoing monsoon, influenced by the monsoon trough line near its average position, continues to affect the entire country.

Meteorologist Min Kumar Aryal stated that there is a likelihood of light to heavy rainfall in several areas, including the Kathmandu Valley, during this period. “While the monsoon is not currently highly active, caution is advised to prevent potential disasters like floods and landslides,” he warned.

According to the division, the weather tonight is expected to be partly to generally cloudy across the country. There is a chance of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in some areas of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in a few places in Koshi and Bagmati provinces. Additionally, heavy rainfall is possible in one or two locations within the Koshi, Madhesh, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
