A key highlight of the programme was the launch of The Essence of the Everest, authored by Dr. Nirmal Kumar Thapa, President of Nepal Centre International and Colour Nepal. The book explores Mount Everest not only as a prominent natural landmark but also as a symbol connected with Nepal’s cultural identity and heritage. Following the opening ceremony, Sagar Bhandari, First Secretary at the Embassy of Nepal, shared his review of The Essence of the Everest and highlighted aspects of the book for the invited guests. The formal launch was marked by the presentation of copies of the book to invited guests. A video showcased on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) was also screened during the programme, adding an international dimension to the cultural gathering.
