Nepal-India-China Expo (NICE 2025) to be Held in Pokhara

A press conference was held today at the Nepal Tourism Board Hall in Pokhara to announce details of the upcoming Nepal-India-China Expo (NICE 2025). The event is being organized by the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Nepal Chapter in collaboration with the Pokhara Tourism Council. Scheduled to take place from February 24 to 26, 2025, this historic event will be hosted at the Pokhara Event Center in Nepal’s tourism capital.

Joint Efforts for Tourism Promotion

PATA Nepal Chapter is working closely with various stakeholders, including Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forests, and Environment (Gandaki Province), Pokhara Metropolitan City, Pokhara Tourism Council, and other key tourism organizations. Aimed at fostering regional cooperation, the event highlights the synergy between the public and private sectors in promoting Nepal’s tourism industry.

According to the organizers, the event is expected to cost approximately NPR 40 million, with NPR 10 million being contributed by Nepal Tourism Board. NICE 2025 marks the first-of-its-kind tourism expo in global history to unite three neighboring nations—Nepal, India, and China—on a single platform.

A Milestone in Regional Tourism Collaboration

The expo is designed to enhance Nepal’s tourism promotion by engaging tourism stakeholders, businesses, and governmental bodies from India and China, Nepal’s closest tourism source markets. By inviting key players to a common platform, the event aims to promote mutual trade, strengthen networking, and unlock new dimensions of trilateral tourism collaboration.

Key Features and Participation

NICE 2025 is anticipated to attract:

  • Over 100 buyers from regional and global markets.
  • More than 80 sellers representing diverse tourism-related businesses.
  • 25+ media representatives and expert speakers from India and China.
  • 1,000+ attendees, including local tourism organizations, government agencies, journalists, and other stakeholders.

Promoting a Shared Vision for Growth

The expo seeks to position Nepal as a key hub for regional tourism, fostering opportunities for networking, trade promotion, and knowledge exchange. It is anticipated to provide a transformative platform for strengthening Nepal’s tourism ties with India and China while introducing innovative ideas to elevate Nepal’s tourism sector.

The historic initiative is not only a significant step toward strengthening Nepal’s position in the global tourism arena but also an inspiration for regional tourism collaboration, making NICE 2025 a landmark event in the sector.
