Nepal’s Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey, has invited French citizens to visit Nepal. He extended this invitation while addressing the ‘Nepal Evening’ event in Paris, which was jointly organized by the Embassy of Nepal in France and the Nepal Tourism Board. His secretariat confirmed that the event aimed to promote Nepal as a prime travel destination for French tourists.

During his speech, Minister Pandey warmly invited all French citizens to explore Nepal, urging them to include the country in their travel itineraries. He highlighted Nepal’s unparalleled natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, adventure tourism, and spiritual experiences, assuring visitors of a once-in-a-lifetime experience. He also provided insights into Nepal’s tourism promotion policies, emphasizing that Nepal is a safe, hospitable, and attractive destination for travelers from around the world.

Nepal’s Ambassador to France, Sudhir Bhattarai, spoke about the deep-rooted historical relations between Nepal and France. He expressed confidence that French visitors would have positive and memorable experiences in Nepal.

Deepak Raj Joshi, CEO of the Nepal Tourism Board, elaborated on Nepal’s ongoing tourism promotion efforts and highlighted the availability of attractive travel packages for international tourists.

A special highlight of the event was the honoring of Elizabeth Herzog, wife of the late renowned French mountaineer Maurice Herzog. Maurice Herzog was a pioneering climber who made significant contributions to mountaineering history, particularly in Nepal. While receiving the honor, Elizabeth Herzog reminisced about her husband’s achievements and shared her fond memories of Nepal, emphasizing the country’s special place in their lives.

The event saw the participation of around 60 individuals, including tourism entrepreneurs, cultural enthusiasts, and people with a keen interest in Nepal. Through such programs, Nepal aims to strengthen its ties with France while attracting more tourists to experience the country’s diverse offerings.
