A team of 100 Chinese photographers has arrived in Nepal to capture its culture, heritage, and tourism through photography. The visit is part of the Lens on Nepal: 100 Chinese Photographers Showcasing Culture, Heritage, and Tourism program, jointly organized by the China-Nepal Friendship Forum, Nepal Tourism Board, and the National Photojournalist Group. The team arrived on Monday and was warmly welcomed.

Member of Parliament Urmila Majhi and Nepal Tourism Board Manager Surya Thapaliya welcomed the photographers, highlighting their role in promoting Nepal’s tourism. The event also featured a musical performance by the group Sukarma. The program marks Nepal Tourism Year 2025 and the 70th anniversary of Nepal-China diplomatic relations.

According to Forum Coordinator Dr. Kalyan Raj Sharma, this initiative is a significant step in promoting Nepal’s tourism globally. During their visit, the Chinese photographers will explore various tourist, cultural, and historical sites, capturing Nepal’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.

National Photojournalist Group President Pradip Raj Onta stated that the photographers will also take colorful images of Nepal’s Fagu Purnima festival. This visit aims to globally showcase Nepal’s culture, lifestyle, and heritage while strengthening Nepal-China relations and boosting Nepal’s tourism industry.
