Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has set the exchange rates for foreign currencies applicable for today. According to the central bank, the value of the US Dollar remains stable, while the rates for the Euro, UK Pound Sterling, Swiss Franc, Danish Kroner, and Omani Rial have increased. In contrast, the rates for currencies like the Canadian Dollar, Singapore Dollar, Thai Baht, and Bahraini Dinar have decreased.
The buying rate for 1 US Dollar is set at NPR 136.94, while the selling rate is NPR 137.54. Similarly, the Euro is trading at a buying rate of NPR 141.17 and a selling rate of NPR 141.79. The UK Pound Sterling is priced at a buying rate of NPR 170.10 and a selling rate of NPR 170.85, while the Swiss Franc’s buying and selling rates are NPR 150.76 and NPR 151.42, respectively.
For other major currencies, the Australian Dollar is set at a buying rate of NPR 85.09 and a selling rate of NPR 85.47, while the Canadian Dollar is priced at NPR 94.78 (buying) and NPR 95.20 (selling). The Singapore Dollar stands at NPR 99.95 (buying) and NPR 100.39 (selling).
Among Asian currencies, the Japanese Yen (10 units) is trading at NPR 8.71 (buying) and NPR 8.74 (selling). The Chinese Yuan is priced at NPR 18.71 (buying) and NPR 18.79 (selling). The Saudi Arabian Riyal and Qatari Riyal are set at NPR 36.46 (buying) and NPR 36.62 (selling), and NPR 37.56 (buying) and NPR 37.72 (selling), respectively.
Other notable rates include the Thai Baht at NPR 3.97 (buying) and NPR 3.99 (selling), UAE Dirham at NPR 37.28 (buying) and NPR 37.45 (selling), and Malaysian Ringgit at NPR 30.43 (buying) and NPR 30.56 (selling).
The South Korean Won (100 units) is priced at NPR 9.32 (buying) and NPR 9.36 (selling), while the Swedish Kroner is trading at NPR 12.32 (buying) and NPR 12.38 (selling). The Danish Kroner is set at NPR 18.93 (buying) and NPR 19.01 (selling).
High-value currencies like the Kuwaiti Dinar, Bahraini Dinar, and Omani Rial are priced at NPR 443.80 (buying) and NPR 445.75 (selling), NPR 363.24 (buying) and NPR 364.83 (selling), and NPR 356.15 (buying) and NPR 357.71 (selling), respectively. The Indian Rupee is set at NPR 160 (buying) and NPR 160.15 (selling) per 100 units.
The central bank has stated that these rates are subject to revision as required, and commercial banks may set different rates. Updated exchange rates are available on the NRB’s official website.
