Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the central bank of Nepal, has released the foreign exchange rates for today, setting the reference rates for various international currencies against the Nepalese Rupee (NPR).
As per the latest updates, the buying rate for one US dollar (USD) stands at NPR 139.09, while the selling rate is NPR 139.69. Similarly, the European Euro (EUR) has been set at NPR 150.02 for buying and NPR 150.66 for selling. The exchange rate for one British Pound Sterling (GBP) is NPR 179.04 for buying and NPR 179.81 for selling. The Swiss Franc (CHF) has been fixed at NPR 156.90 for buying and NPR 157.57 for selling.
In the case of other major currencies, the Australian Dollar (AUD) is being exchanged at NPR 87.94 for buying and NPR 88.32 for selling. Meanwhile, the Canadian Dollar (CAD) has a buying rate of NPR 96.83 and a selling rate of NPR 97.25. The Singapore Dollar (SGD) is valued at NPR 104.32 for buying and NPR 104.77 for selling.
Regarding Asian currencies, the exchange rate for 10 Japanese Yen (JPY) is NPR 9.40 for buying and NPR 9.45 for selling. Similarly, one Chinese Yuan (CNY) is set at NPR 19.20 for buying and NPR 19.28 for selling. The Saudi Arabian Riyal (SAR) is valued at NPR 37.08 for buying and NPR 37.24 for selling, whereas the Qatari Riyal (QAR) is set at NPR 38.16 for buying and NPR 38.33 for selling.
For other global currencies, the Thai Baht (THB) is being traded at NPR 4.12 for buying and NPR 4.14 for selling. The United Arab Emirates Dirham (AED) stands at NPR 37.87 for buying and NPR 38.03 for selling. The Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) is exchanged at NPR 31.42 for buying and NPR 31.55 for selling. Additionally, the South Korean Won (KRW) per 100 units has a buying rate of NPR 9.60 and a selling rate of NPR 9.64. The Swedish Kroner (SEK) is valued at NPR 13.77 for buying and NPR 13.83 for selling, whereas the Danish Kroner (DKK) is fixed at NPR 20.11 for buying and NPR 20.20 for selling.
The exchange rate for one Hong Kong Dollar (HKD) is NPR 17.90 for buying and NPR 17.97 for selling. The Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD), one of the highest-valued currencies, has been set at NPR 451.33 for buying and NPR 453.27 for selling. Similarly, the Bahraini Dinar (BHD) stands at NPR 368.96 for buying and NPR 370.56 for selling, while the Omani Rial (OMR) is valued at NPR 361.28 for buying and NPR 362.84 for selling.
Furthermore, the exchange rate for 100 Indian Rupees (INR) has been set at NPR 160.00 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling. As Nepal follows a pegged exchange rate system with India, the value of the Indian Rupee remains relatively stable in comparison to the Nepalese Rupee.
Nepal Rastra Bank has also stated that these exchange rates are subject to modification at any time based on market fluctuations and foreign exchange requirements.
