Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has released the foreign exchange rates for today, reflecting an increase in the value of major currencies, including the US Dollar, Euro, Pound Sterling, and Swiss Franc.
According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US Dollar has been set at NPR 137.86, while the selling rate is NPR 138.46. Similarly, the buying rate for one Euro is NPR 144.93, and the selling rate is NPR 145.56. For the Pound Sterling, the buying rate is NPR 172.43, and the selling rate is NPR 173.18. The Swiss Franc’s buying rate is NPR 153.67, with a selling rate of NPR 154.34.
Other major currencies have also seen an upward adjustment. The Australian Dollar is trading at a buying rate of NPR 86.82 and a selling rate of NPR 87.20. The Canadian Dollar’s rates stand at NPR 93.03 (buying) and NPR 96.45 (selling). For the Singapore Dollar, the buying rate is NPR 102.64, while the selling rate is NPR 103.09.
The Japanese Yen (per 10 units) is being exchanged at NPR 8.96 for buying and NPR 9.00 for selling. Meanwhile, the Chinese Yuan has a buying rate of NPR 19.01 and a selling rate of NPR 19.09.
Middle Eastern currencies have also shown an increase. The Saudi Arabian Riyal is trading at NPR 36.75 (buying) and NPR 36.91 (selling), while the Qatari Riyal stands at NPR 37.81 (buying) and NPR 37.98 (selling). The UAE Dirham’s rates are NPR 37.53 (buying) and NPR 37.70 (selling).
Other notable currencies include the Thai Baht at NPR 4.10 (buying) and NPR 4.12 (selling), and the Malaysian Ringgit at NPR 31.49 (buying) and NPR 31.62 (selling).
South Korean Won (per 100 units) is valued at NPR 9.63 for buying and NPR 9.67 for selling. The Swedish Krona and Danish Krona are trading at NPR 12.59 and NPR 19.42 for buying, and NPR 12.65 and NPR 19.51 for selling, respectively.
Among high-value currencies, the Hong Kong Dollar is trading at NPR 17.70 (buying) and NPR 17.78 (selling). The Kuwaiti Dinar has a buying rate of NPR 447.67 and a selling rate of NPR 449.62, while the Bahraini Dinar’s rates are NPR 365.68 (buying) and NPR 367.27 (selling). The Omani Riyal is set at NPR 358.09 (buying) and NPR 359.65 (selling).
The Indian Rupee (per 100 units) remains steady at NPR 160.00 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling.
NRB has stated that the exchange rates are subject to revision as needed. It also emphasized that commercial banks may have slightly different rates, and the latest updates are available on the central bank’s official website.
