The Nepal Rastra Bank has updated the foreign currency exchange rates for today, revealing an increase in the value of the US dollar along with several other currencies.
According to the revised rates, the buying rate for the US dollar is set at NPR 138.23, while the selling rate stands at NPR 138.83. The European Euro is pegged at NPR 143.06 for buying and NPR 143.68 for selling. Similarly, the UK Pound Sterling is valued at NPR 169.15 for buying and NPR 169.89 for selling. The Swiss Franc has a buying rate of NPR 151.70 and a selling rate of NPR 152.36.
Other currencies also witnessed notable increments. The Australian Dollar has been fixed at NPR 85.94 for buying and NPR 86.32 for selling, while the Canadian Dollar is set at NPR 95.71 for buying and NPR 95.12 for selling. The Singapore Dollar’s rates are NPR 101.61 for buying and NPR 102.05 for selling.
For the Japanese Yen, the rate for 10 units is NPR 8.86 for buying and NPR 8.90 for selling. The Chinese Yuan has a buying rate of NPR 18.98 and a selling rate of NPR 19.06. Similarly, the Saudi Arabian Riyal is valued at NPR 36.84 for buying and NPR 37.00 for selling, and the Qatari Riyal is fixed at NPR 37.91 for buying and NPR 38.08 for selling.
In the South Asian region, the Indian Rupee’s exchange rate remains at NPR 160.00 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling per 100 units. Other currencies like the Thai Baht, Malaysian Ringgit, South Korean Won, Swedish Kroner, and Danish Kroner have also seen minor fluctuations.
High-value currencies such as the Kuwaiti Dinar are set at NPR 448.13 for buying and NPR 450.07 for selling, while the Bahraini Dinar has a buying rate of NPR 366.73 and a selling rate of NPR 368.32. The Omani Riyal stands at NPR 359.16 for buying and NPR 360.71 for selling.
The central bank noted that these rates are subject to change and can be revised at any time based on market demand. Additionally, commercial banks may apply slightly different rates. The latest updates on exchange rates are made available on the official website of Nepal Rastra Bank.
