Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced the foreign exchange rates for Thursday, setting the buying rate for one US dollar at Rs 135.63 and the selling rate at Rs 136.23. The euro is priced at Rs 142.42 for buying and Rs 143.05 for selling, while one British pound can be bought for Rs 172.45 and sold for Rs 173.22.
For regional currencies, the exchange rate for 10 Japanese yen is set at Rs 8.83 for buying and Rs 8.87 for selling, and one Chinese yuan stands at Rs 18.62 for buying and Rs 18.70 for selling. Among Gulf currencies, the Saudi Arabian Riyal is valued at Rs 36.10 for buying and Rs 36.26 for selling, while the Qatari Riyal is priced at Rs 37.20 for buying and Rs 37.37 for selling.
Other notable currencies include the Swiss Franc, fixed at Rs 151.74 for buying and Rs 152.41 for selling, and the Australian dollar, which stands at Rs 85.63 for buying and Rs 86.01 for selling. The Canadian dollar is set at Rs 94.69 for buying and Rs 95.11 for selling. High-value currencies such as the Kuwaiti Dinar and Bahraini Dinar are priced at Rs 440.99 and Rs 442.42 for buying and selling, respectively, and Rs 352.29 and Rs 353.84 for buying and selling, respectively. The Indian Rupee, commonly used for cross-border transactions, is fixed at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.
