Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) witnessed a significant surge in passenger movement and flight operations during November 2024. According to statistics released by the Tribhuvan Airport Civil Aviation Office on Wednesday, the month recorded a total of 851,025 passengers and 12,525 flights encompassing both domestic and international sectors.
The international sector experienced the movement of 429,847 passengers in November. Among them, 199,495 passengers arrived in Nepal, while 229,763 passengers departed through a total of 2,648 international flights.
On the domestic front, the airport facilitated 4,933 landings, accommodating 219,430 arriving passengers, and 4,944 departures, carrying 201,748 departing passengers. The combined domestic passenger movement for November stood at 402,178 passengers.
The data highlights the growing demand for air travel, both within Nepal and internationally, reflecting an increase in tourism and travel activities. This surge underscores TIA’s critical role as Nepal’s primary gateway and the need for a robust infrastructure to support the growing air traffic.
