The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has invited applications from qualified candidates for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), opening the selection process for the board’s top executive leadership position.
The application notice was published for the first time on September 11, 2026 (Bhadra 26, 2083). Eligible candidates have been asked to submit their applications along with all required documents within 10 days from the date of publication.
If the final date for submission falls on a public holiday, applications may be submitted during office hours on the next working day.

Eligibility Criteria
According to the notice, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- The applicant must be a Nepali citizen.
- The candidate must have obtained at least a master’s degree from a recognized educational institution.
- The applicant must have at least 10 years of professional experience in the tourism sector.
- The candidate must not be disqualified from being a candidate under prevailing laws.
Documents Required With Application
Candidates are required to submit self-certified copies of documents supporting their eligibility and other documents specified by the NTB.
Applicants must also prepare a Strategic Action Plan outlining activities and measures aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the Nepal Tourism Board. The strategic plan must not exceed 3,000 words.

In addition, applicants are required to submit a report of no more than 1,000 words highlighting significant achievements they accomplished through their own efforts while working at an institution or organization.
Candidates currently holding departmental responsibilities in a public institution must also submit a departmental approval letter.
Applicants must further submit the self-declaration prescribed under Clause 4, Sub-clause (5) of the Nepal Tourism Board Chief Executive Officer Selection and Recommendation Procedure, 2083. The procedure is available on the NTB’s website.

Applicants are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 15,000. The fee must be deposited into the Nepal Tourism Board’s account maintained at Nabil Bank Limited, Tindhara Branch.

Where to Submit the Application
Candidates can submit their applications physically at the Secretariat of the Chief Executive Officer, Nepal Tourism Board, Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.
Applicants may also apply through email by sending the completed application along with the required documents to [email protected].
However, candidates applying through email will be required to provide the original bank voucher and certified copies of the required documents at the time of presentation.
