Nepal Tourism Board Triumphs at Travel Show 2025, Captivating Global Travelers

The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), in collaboration with nine prominent private companies, participated in the Travel and Adventure Show 2025, held from March 8 to 9, 2025, in Denver, Colorado, USA. The companies involved included Expedition Himalaya Pvt.Ltd., Satori Adventure Pvt. Ltd., Namaste Tourism and Holidays Pvt. Ltd., Alpine Club of Himalaya, Ojha Holidays Tours and Treks Pvt. Ltd., Three Sisters Adventures Trekking Pvt. Ltd., Samrat Tours and Travels Pvt. Ltd., Well Nepal Travel and Tours Pvt. Ltd., and Himalayan Guides Nepal Treks and Expedition Pvt. Ltd.

The event featured over 250 exhibitors and attracted more than 11,000 visitors over two days. Nepal’s pavilion, located near the entrance, received significant attention, with many visitors demonstrating a strong awareness of Nepal as a travel destination.

A special program called FAM-TAS was organized on the first day, offering a platform for B2B meetings between 55 US tour operators and Nepalese exhibitors. This initiative aimed to foster partnerships and discuss potential tour packages. Rishi Ram Bhandari, a member of NTB’s Executive Committee, highlighted Nepal’s tourism potential, emphasizing that Nepal is a safe and attractive destination for tourists.

Laxman Gautam, NTB’s Director, presented Nepal’s rich and diverse tourism offerings, encouraging US tour operators to promote Nepal in their future travel packages. A lucky draw for an Everest Base Camp trek was held, and the winner, Paula Seuffert, a US-based tour operator, drew further attention to Nepal’s adventure tourism appeal.

Nepal’s participation in the event marked its return to international tourism promotion after a long break, especially in the post-COVID era. The show generated considerable interest among both US tour operators and the general public, with many expressing their plans to visit Nepal shortly. This engagement reflects positively on NTB’s efforts to revive Nepal’s tourism sector. Given the US’s importance as a key source market for Nepal, the event is expected to significantly impact the promotion of Nepal as a premier travel destination, helping the country regain its status in the global tourism market.
