ITB Berlin Summit 2025: Nepal’s Tourism Minister Makes Powerful Presence

The Ministerial Summit at ITB Berlin 2025 served as a key global platform where Tourism Ministers from 23 countries gathered to discuss investment, peace, and sustainable growth in the tourism sector.

Organized for the first time by UN Tourism, a UN Tourism Affiliate Member, the high-level event aimed to strengthen public-private collaboration and address the challenges and opportunities within the global tourism industry.

Representing Nepal, the Honorable Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Mr. Badri Prasad Pandey, actively participated in discussions under the theme “Enhancing Investment, Ensuring Peace: Harnessing Growth, Shaping the Future.” His participation underscored Nepal’s commitment to fostering sustainable tourism, attracting investment, and promoting the country as a unique travel destination.

A key focus of the summit was the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, a vital tool for mobilizing resources, encouraging responsible investment, and ensuring long-term tourism growth. The event allowed Nepal to highlight its tourism potential, engage with global stakeholders, and explore collaborations that could contribute to the country’s economic development through sustainable tourism.
