A trekking route has been constructed connecting the tourist area of Narsinghkot in Nisikhola Rural Municipality-7, Baglung. The pathway, which includes railings, links the market town of Burtibang with Narsinghkot. The trekking route has been constructed to make it easier for both domestic and international tourists to reach Narsinghkot. The trekking route has been built through the Tourism and Industry Office of Baglung. The project was funded with a budget of NPR 1 million allocated by the Gandaki Province government for the current fiscal year, according to Narayan Prasad Rijal, the planning officer at the Tourism and Industry Office of Baglung.

The construction was carried out by the user committee. Rijal mentioned that the path, with around 250 permanent railings, has been completed from Serad in Dhorpatan Municipality-2. Narsinghkot, which was once ruled by King Bhure during the era of the Baise-Chaubise states, is now seeing an increase in domestic tourist attraction. As infrastructure continues to develop in Narshingkot, the number of domestic tourists has been increasing, said Deepak Kunwar, the chairperson of Nisikhola Rural Municipality-7. Despite being close to Burtibang market, he stated that it is now easier to reach Narsinghkot.

Along with the trekking path, the municipality has also built structures like the Kalika Temple, drinking water facilities, toilets, and resting places in the area, costing NPR 2 million. According to him, a playground is also under construction at the site. It takes one hour by car and about one and a half hours on foot from Burtibang market to reach Narsinghkot. However, due to the lack of an alternative road beside the Saljhandi-Dhorpatan road, the journey by vehicle takes a longer route.

Chairperson Kunwar said, “Narsinghkot was overlooked in the past despite its many potentials, but now it is gaining attention. Nowadays, tourists arrive every day, and on holidays, even more tourists come for sightseeing. We are focusing on developing infrastructure and promoting the area to boost tourism.” From Narsinghkot, one can view various places in Baglung, including Burtibang market, and other districts like Myagdi, Pyuthan, Gulmi, Rolpa, Rukum, Palpa, Arghakhanchi, along with the Dhaulagiri mountain range and many other Himalayan peaks and the scenic highland regions.
