The Non-Resident Nepali Association, USA (NRNA USA) is preparing to launch a special tourism magazine titled “Visit Nepal 2025” in Kathmandu later this month. The official unveiling is scheduled for August 29, 2025, at the auditorium of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, with the ceremony to be graced by the Honorable Minister, Mr. Badri Prasad Pandey. This initiative represents a significant milestone in promoting Nepal’s tourism on a global stage and demonstrates the Nepali diaspora’s dedication to supporting the country’s economic growth and cultural preservation.
NRNA USA to Launch “Visit Nepal 2025” Magazine
The magazine, developed over the span of a year, is the outcome of a joint effort by tourism experts, seasoned writers, and members of the Nepali diaspora. It brings together a rich collection of memoirs and travel narratives from American visitors who have experienced Nepal’s vibrant culture, deep-rooted heritage, and breathtaking natural beauty.
Beyond personal stories, the publication features analytical pieces from leading voices in Nepal’s tourism sector, providing valuable perspectives on the industry’s growth and potential. It also highlights promising investment prospects for American businesses, positioning the magazine as not only a captivating promotional tool but also a practical guide for policymakers, investors, and travelers interested in exploring opportunities in Nepal.
Strategic Vision and Outreach
According to Prof. Prabhat Dixit, head of the publication committee, the magazine’s primary goal is to attract more American visitors to Nepal while showcasing investment prospects in the tourism sector. He noted that the magazine will be distributed extensively to American policymakers, tourism business leaders, community influencers, and social activists, and will also be promoted to the general public through cultural programs. Furthermore, copies will be placed in public libraries across various U.S. states to ensure its long-term reach and visibility.
The initiative was led by Mr. Netra Pandey, Vice President of NRNA USA and Head of its Trade and Tourism Department. He characterized the project as far more than a simple publication, referring to it as “a movement aimed at positioning Nepal as a premier travel destination.” Mr. Pandey urged Nepali communities living in the United States to engage actively and help guarantee that the magazine effectively reaches its intended readers.
Leadership and Endorsements
Similarly, Mr. Som Nath Sapkota, Deputy General Secretary and Chair of the Tourism Promotion Committee of NRNA ICC, lauded the effort as a landmark in promoting Nepal’s tourism in the United States and beyond. He highlighted NRNA’s ongoing work in promoting Nepal globally through cultural events such as Nepal Festival, Nepal Mela, Nepal Day, and other large-scale programs, which have successfully presented Nepal’s traditions, cuisine, and heritage to international audiences, strengthening its global image.
The Visit Nepal 2025 magazine is part of NRNA’s broader mission to connect Nepal with the international community through cultural showcases, tourism promotion, and investment facilitation. The publication seeks to inspire travelers and provide practical information for those eager to discover Nepal.
The unveiling of Visit Nepal 2025 is anticipated to draw a distinguished gathering that includes top government officials, influential figures from the tourism sector, members of the Nepali diaspora, and international supporters. More than just a formal publication launch, the event will stand as a symbol of the united vision between the Nepali diaspora and the government to position tourism as a key driver of Nepal’s economic progress.
With the national “Visit Nepal 2025” campaign on the horizon, releasing the magazine in Kathmandu at this moment carries both strategic and symbolic significance. It represents a coordinated effort among the diaspora, tourism stakeholders, and the government to present Nepal’s awe-inspiring landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and renowned hospitality to the global stage. The program is scheduled for Friday, August 29, 2025, from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation’s auditorium in Kathmandu.
