Senior Director Nandini Lahe-Thapa and Senior Manager Bimal Kadel also shared insights on how the NTB plans to implement these initiatives effectively.

UNFPA Nepal Country Representative Won Young Hong emphasized the critical role of gender equality in fostering a thriving tourism sector. She highlighted the organization’s commitment to supporting Nepal in implementing policies and programs that promote respect, equality, and safety.

New Zealand Honorary Consul to Nepal, Lisa Choegyal, and Gender and Human Rights Specialist Kamala Khatri Bisht emphasized the importance of addressing barriers to women’s participation in tourism. Programme Associate for Diversity and Inclusion, Reshmi Sunar, added that such collaborations are essential to achieving diversity and shared growth in the sector.
