Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli visited Tarigaun Airport in Tulasipur, Dang, on Monday to assess its current condition and discuss future development plans. During the inspection, he reaffirmed his commitment to upgrading the airport by ensuring budget allocation in the next fiscal year.

Speaking at the site, Prime Minister Oli acknowledged that no budget had been allocated for the airport’s development this year but assured that necessary funds would be designated in the upcoming financial plan. “Budget has not been allocated for the airport this year. The airport will be upgraded by allocating budget next year,” he stated, emphasizing the government’s focus on enhancing regional infrastructure.

Accompanying the Prime Minister during the inspection were CPN (UML) General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel, Lumbini Province Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya, and former National Assembly member Komal Oli. Their presence highlighted the significance of the airport for the region’s connectivity and economic growth.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Oli also attended the inauguration ceremony of Komal Resort, a newly established hospitality venture in Tulasipur, operated by former National Assembly member Komal Oli. The resort’s launch is expected to contribute to the region’s tourism and hospitality sector, aligning with the broader development goals of Dang.

The Prime Minister’s visit to Tarigaun Airport and his commitment to upgrading it reflect the government’s ongoing efforts to improve transportation infrastructure in the Lumbini Province, facilitating better connectivity and boosting local economic opportunities.
