Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli unveiled the Nepal Premier League (NPL) trophy at the historic Dharahara premises today, emphasizing the league’s potential to boost tourism and showcase Nepali youth talent on the international stage. During the event, the Prime Minister assured the government’s full cooperation and support for the development of the NPL and the sports sector as a whole.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, Prime Minister Oli expressed his belief that the NPL would bring a new dimension to Nepali cricket. He referred to cricket as both a dream and a source of pride for the younger generation, underscoring its role in inspiring the nation.

“Cricket is a dream and a topic of glory for our present generation. Let us add a new dimension to Nepali cricket through this league. The government is with you. My interest and ownership will always remain, whether I am in the government or not,” the Prime Minister remarked.

He extended his best wishes to all participating teams and expressed hope that the NPL would provide a platform for showcasing youth talent and reinforcing the belief that Nepalis can achieve great things when given opportunities.
