The number of high-quality hotels in Nepal is continuously increasing, strengthening the country’s tourism sector. According to the Department of Hotels and Tourism, there are currently 337 star-rated hotels operating across the country.

According to Lila Dhar Awasthi, Director and Information Officer at the Tourism Department, these hotels collectively offer 15,781 rooms and 25,800 beds, providing top-tier hospitality services. Nepal currently has 23 five-star hotels, offering 3,190 rooms and 4,672 beds.

Additionally, there are three five-star deluxe hotels with 555 rooms and 620 beds. The country has 41 four-star hotels with 989 rooms and 4,512 beds. There are also four heritage hotels (four-star deluxe), providing 244 rooms and 344 beds. Currently, Nepal has 37 three-star hotels with 2,256 rooms and 3,784 beds. Among lower-tier hotels, 49 two-star hotels offer 1,871 rooms and 3,241 beds, while 44 one-star hotels provide 1,028 rooms and 1,779 beds.

Along with these, various luxury boutique heritage hotels, resorts, and standard resorts are also in operation, offering diverse accommodation options for tourists. The Nepalese government has been focusing on improving tourism infrastructure and promoting the hotel industry. The growth of quality hotels and enhanced hospitality services is expected to position Nepal as a leading international tourist destination.
