Search for Missing German Solo Trekker, Falk Scheffler

Authorities are seeking assistance in locating Falk Scheffler, a German solo trekker who has been reported missing since last Thursday. Till Scheffler, Falk’s brother, reached out via email to express concern over his brother’s unusual lack of communication during his trek in Nepal.

According to Till’s message, Falk Scheffler, born on February 21, 1990, was last known to be near Chhukung Ri while en route to the Kongma La pass. He typically provides regular updates on his location, but the last correspondence was on Thursday when he indicated he would bypass Kongma La. Since then, there has been no contact, raising alarms for his family.

Till’s email reads, “My brother Falk Scheffler is currently solo traveling in Nepal. He frequently reports where he is, but the last time I heard from him was Thursday, where he was near Chhukung Ri. From there, he was supposed to cross Kongma La pass but decided to go around it. We haven’t heard anything since, which seems unusual, even for a bad connection. I was told to contact you; maybe you know more or have a strategy for finding him. Thank you so much in advance.”

Authorities urge anyone with information regarding Falk Scheffler’s whereabouts to contact them or the German Embassy in Nepal immediately. Your assistance could be crucial in ensuring the safety of this missing trekker.

For any leads, please reach out to the local authorities or email Till Scheffler at [email protected].
