Sikkim CM Seeks Divine Blessings at Pashupatinath & Manakamana

Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay paid a spiritually significant visit to Nepal, offering prayers at the revered Pashupatinath and Manakamana temples and seeking divine blessings for the people of Sikkim. The pilgrimage reflected deep cultural and spiritual ties between Sikkim and Nepal, highlighting shared traditions, faith, and values that continue to unite the Himalayan region.

Prayers at Pashupatinath Temple

During his visit to the holy Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu, Chief Minister Tamang-Golay offered prayers with deep devotion and humility. On this sacred occasion, he sought divine blessings for the good health, peace, prosperity, and overall well-being of the people of Sikkim. He described the spiritual ambience of the temple as deeply moving, noting that the serene surroundings left him feeling blessed, rejuvenated, and spiritually enriched.

Holy Parijat Sapling Plantation

Adding a symbolic and meaningful gesture to his pilgrimage, Chief Minister Tamang-Golay planted a Holy Parijat sapling within the sacred premises of Pashupatinath Temple. The plantation symbolised faith, renewal, and reverence for nature, reflecting his commitment to environmental consciousness and spiritual harmony. The act was also seen as a message of sustainable stewardship and respect for the natural world.

Earlier, the Chief Minister visited the revered Manakamana Temple in Nepal, dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati. Perched atop a commanding hilltop, the temple is renowned for its serene and awe-inspiring ambiance, which offers devotees profound spiritual solace. The tranquil environment of Manakamana is believed to uplift the soul and instill a sense of inner peace, harmony, bliss, and fulfilment.

At Manakamana, the Chief Minister offered his earnest prayers for the well-being, happiness, and prosperity of the people of Sikkim, particularly for the upliftment of the poor, the sick, and the vulnerable. He also prayed for the overall development, peace, and progress of both the State and the nation.
