Speaker of the House of Representatives, Devraj Ghimire, has reaffirmed his commitment to continuously supporting the development of infrastructure, agriculture, and the promotion of tourism in the region. Speaking at the opening of the First District Convention organized by the Ghimire Bandhu National Foundation’s District Branch in Manthali, Speaker Ghimire expressed his dedication to meeting the hopes, expectations, and desires of the local community.
He emphasized the importance of local governments taking the lead in the region’s development efforts, stating that the first step should be taken by the local administration. Speaker Ghimire noted that while he remains positive and supportive, progress cannot be made without active involvement from local government authorities.
The event, held under the leadership of Chairperson Purushottam Ghimire, was attended by Speaker Ghimire as the chief guest. The program began with a lively procession featuring traditional Panchbaja music, which paraded through Manthali Bazaar and ended at the local Teen Lal Park, where the convention culminated in a formal gathering.
The convention also saw the election of a new executive committee for the district branch, led by the newly elected Chairman, Naveen Ghimire. The new committee includes Vice-Chairs Anju Ghimire (Female) and Damodar Ghimire (Open), Secretary Sundar Ghimire, Assistant Secretary Bed Kumar Ghimire, Treasurer Sundar Ghimire, and members Binod Ghimire, Durga Bahadur Ghimire, Ranju Ghimire, Apsara Ghimire, Shivaji Ghimire, Derdev Ghimire, Saraswati Ghimire, Binod Ghimire, Ranju Ghimire, Dron Ghimire, and Yashoda Ghimire.
The newly elected Chairman, Naveen Ghimire, expressed his gratitude and commitment to driving the foundation’s goals forward with a focus on community welfare and development.
