Nepali Congress parliamentary whip Nishkal Rai has urged the government to give greater priority to the temple’s development, arguing that better infrastructure and wider promotion could help turn the site into an important religious tourism destination while also creating new economic opportunities for the surrounding community.

Speaking during the zero hour of the House of Representatives, Rai said the temple has considerable potential but has not yet received the level of attention needed to establish it as a major destination. He called for government funding to improve facilities around the temple and for promotional campaigns that could introduce the site to visitors beyond Syangja. Greater visibility, he argued, would help bring more pilgrims and tourists to the area. Rai has also been given responsibility for coordinating Nepali Congress activities in Syangja, where he has been highlighting issues related to local development and tourism.

The temple is situated in the Jal Baraha Religious Forest area of Arjunchaupari-1, near the Panchakanya Temple area. Its development has gradually increased religious activity in the locality and attracted visitors interested in spiritual experiences. The impact is beginning to extend beyond the temple itself.
