Tulsipur’s New Zipline Set to Launch in Mangsir, Enhancing Tourism Appeal in Dang

The much-anticipated zipline at Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-19, Dang, has completed its main construction, marking a new adventure attraction in the region. Although the final touches, including painting and ticket counter setup, are still underway, the zipline structure itself is now ready, confirmed operator Shreedhar Neupane.

“We’ve been working on this for a long time, and it’s finally complete,” Neupane stated. “Many people have been eager to see it open, and we are preparing for a Mangsir launch.”

Construction of the 1,100-meter zipline began two years ago but faced delays due to the area’s challenging terrain, which made transporting materials difficult. It took nearly a year just to install the cables, yet with the zipline now finished, operations are set to commence shortly.

Built at an elevation of 130 degrees, the zipline includes a take-off and landing tower, spanning local Bulke Community Forest. With a budget of approximately NPR 20 million, an agreement stipulates that 5% of each ticket sale will benefit the forest, while another 5% will be allocated to the nearby Kalika Malika Temple.

The zipline is licensed to operate for 20 years, creating around 10 local job opportunities. “Chhillikot is a major tourist spot in Dang, and the zipline will add to its allure, attracting both domestic and international tourists,” Neupane added. “Adventure activities like this are expected to contribute significantly to tourism promotion in the area.”

Operated by Chhillikot Resort and Adventure Pvt. Ltd., the zipline is part of a broader plan to develop Chhillikot as a hub for adventure tourism. Additional attractions like sky cycling and rock climbing are also planned to make the site a more comprehensive adventure destination in the future.
