Unveiling Thrills: Sechha Adventure Park in Dharan Captivates Youth and Tourists Alike

Manisha Meheta, who traveled from Biratnagar with friends, was found enjoying herself at Sechha Adventure Park and Holidays Park, located in Chinde Danda of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City-20. Having hiked three kilometers from Dharan to reach the park, she expressed her excitement at experiencing zipline cycling for the first time.

“I am thrilled to try zipline cycling for the first time,” Manisha said, adding that the adventure exceeded her expectations. Dennis Khan, also from Biratnagar, shared similar enthusiasm. “I had only seen this park on Facebook and TikTok, but being here in person is even better than I imagined,” he remarked, encouraging others to visit the park.

Sechha Adventure Park has become a favored destination for many youths and adventure enthusiasts. Located six kilometers from Dharan’s main market, the park attracts both hikers and those arriving by vehicle. Visitors come to indulge in thrilling activities such as zipline cycling and paragliding.

The area, once a desolate and quiet village, was transformed into an adventure hub just four years ago. According to Park Director Basudev Baral, the park’s primary attractions include zipline cycling, a hanging bridge, a Russian circle, and a children’s play area. “We are proud to operate the first adventure park of its kind in our province, and it has received immense love from visitors,” Baral said.

Sechha Adventure Park has also become a popular destination for school and college students, who flock there for picnics and adventure experiences. Various package options offered by the park have further increased its appeal to domestic tourists and student groups.

Initially built with an investment of NPR 50 million, the park now spans 2.5 bighas (approximately 1.67 hectares) and has seen additional structures constructed, bringing the total investment to NPR 70 million. The park’s blend of natural beauty and thrilling activities has made it a standout destination in Province 1.
