Vice-President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav Inaugurates Gadhimai Mela at Bara District

Vice-President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav officially inaugurated the Gadhimai Mela (Fair) today at the historic Gadhimai Temple premises in Bara district. The grand religious event, dedicated to Goddess Gadhimai, is held every five years and attracts thousands of devotees from across the country and beyond.

The inauguration ceremony took place amidst a special event within the temple premises, attended by a large gathering of devotees and dignitaries. Vice-President Yadav, accompanied by his spouse Champadevi and other family members, paid obeisance at the temple and performed religious rituals.

As per the Office of the Vice-President, the VP was warmly welcomed by former ministers, lawmakers, security personnel, office-bearers of the Gadhimai Mela Organizing Committee, representatives of local authorities, and devotees.

During his visit, Vice-President Yadav observed various aspects of the Fair and discussed its management with Upendra Yadav, Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, and other committee members. He expressed his appreciation for the organization and extended his best wishes for the success of the Mela.

The Gadhimai Mela is a significant religious and cultural event in Nepal, drawing attention for its spiritual and community-building aspects. The event’s successful management is expected to enhance its appeal and attract more participants in the years to come.
