The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported partly to generally cloudy weather in the hilly regions today, while the rest of the country will experience fair and clear weather. Most areas of the country are expected to remain clear throughout the day.
Currently, a westerly low-pressure system combined with westerly winds is influencing the nation’s weather patterns.
This afternoon, the mountainous regions of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces are predicted to experience partly cloudy skies. Similarly, the hilly regions across the country are expected to witness similar conditions.
The Department has forecasted partly to generally cloudy weather in the mountainous areas of Gandaki Province, with a possibility of light snowfall at one or two locations. Light snowfall is also likely tonight in the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country.
Looking ahead to Friday morning, the Department has cautioned about potential foggy conditions in some parts of the Terai and Kathmandu Valley. Residents are advised to remain alert and take necessary safety measures to mitigate the impact of reduced visibility due to fog.
