Tiger Attack Leaves Three Women Injured in Dang

Three women were injured in a harrowing tiger attack early this morning in Dang district. Kamala KC (45), Sita Kumari Bhandari (53), and Sarita Bhandari (18), residents of Tulsipur sub-metropolis-9, were attacked by a wild tiger while collecting mushrooms in the Nawadurga Community Forest.

According to Police Inspector Prakash Thapa from the Area Police Office Tulsipur, the tiger pounced on the women, causing varying degrees of injuries. Kamala sustained minor injuries on both hands, while Sita suffered injuries to her back and abdomen. Sarita sustained injuries on her right hand.

The injured women were swiftly transported to Rapti Provincial Hospital, Tulsipur, where they are currently undergoing treatment. The incident has sparked concerns among residents about wildlife encounters in the area.

Authorities are monitoring the situation closely to prevent any further incidents, emphasizing the need for caution when venturing into forested areas known to be habitats for wildlife, including tigers.
