Embassy of Nepal in Muscat Hosts Interaction Program on Economic and Cultural Promotion

The Embassy of Nepal in Muscat organized an Interaction Programme on Export, Trade, Investment, Tourism, and Employment Promotion at Nepal House, Muscat, Oman. The event sought to rally support from the Nepali community in Oman to boost Nepal’s economic and cultural presence in the region.

A press release from the Embassy highlighted that the program aimed to promote export, trade, and investment opportunities in Nepal, identify new job opportunities for Nepali workers, and showcase Nepal as an attractive tourist destination for Omani citizens.

The event saw the participation of distinguished guests, including Nepali businesspersons, representatives from Oman-based Nepali organizations and banks, prominent Nepali figures, and community volunteers.

During his speech, Ambassador Dornath Aryal stressed the importance of promoting Nepali products to improve the trade balance and attract foreign investment for large-scale projects in Nepal. He emphasized the need to provide safe and quality job opportunities for Nepali workers in Oman to strengthen bilateral relations.

Ambassador Aryal urged the Nepali community to take every opportunity to promote Nepal as a preferred tourist destination for Omani citizens and to highlight Nepal’s rich heritage, culture, and literature in Oman. He thanked the Nepali community for their steadfast support and invited their suggestions for the Embassy’s plans and programs for the upcoming fiscal year. He also called for collaboration from all Oman-based Nepali organizations in organizing various events next year.

Community representatives shared valuable ideas for the Embassy’s plans and programs, expressing their commitment to support Embassy activities and jointly organize events that promote trade, investment, employment, and tourism.

Participants actively engaged in the interaction, expressing satisfaction with the Embassy’s initiative to seek their input on various programs.

The Interaction Programme concluded with a meeting of the Development Diplomacy Committee, chaired by Ambassador Aryal. The committee deliberated on the suggestions offered by the Nepali community and made several important decisions for future actions.
